Food Scene

This is a new venture and has been created from an old disused church building. The owners provide great breakfasts, brunch or tea/coffee with cakes. The menu is vegetarian /vegan friendly and the decor is clean and rustic. The Barony is also dog friendly, child friendly, it has its own mini climbing wall, you can hire bikes from there or you can arrange a kayaking trip on one of the local lochs or rivers.

The old clubhouse from the Glenisla Golf course has been re-purposed into a stunning coffee house/ restaurant with picture windows commanding views over the old golf course and the nearby hills. Its great for a halfway stopover if you walk out along the Lossett Road from Alyth or if you are driving it has a huge car park.

Drinks & Nightlife

Nice quiet lounge bar with meals served. Public bar round the back full of local characters.
The Lossett Inn

This is locally referred to as " Geo's bar" and it also used to be called "TOPIA" (The only pub in Alyth -as all the others are Inns or Hotels). It is a pub of character and the public bar was up until recently a "sawdust on the floor" kind of a place. Haven't been in recently but the clientel can be seen regularly standing having a smoke in the "beer garden" aka. outside the pub doors on Airlie Street. Good craic!
