You’ve heard the song, “Let’s go to Luckenbauch Texas with Waylon and Willie and the boys”. “Maybe it’s time we got back to the basics of love”. Be sure to stop in the post office and don’t forget the photo op in front of the "Population 3" sign.

Parks & Nature
Enchanted Rock is a special favorite spot for Doug and I. It was where we went on our fourth date. You can either climb the “pink granite mountain” or choose one of the many trails around the park. During peak season be sure to arrive early. They close the gates once the park has reached capacity. They are open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. We have found it enjoyable on a summer evening to go before dusk. Not as hot or crowded. Be sure to stop at the gate on your way in. There is a small entrance fee.

This is a great choice for breakfast or lunch. On the weekends be prepared to wait to be seated and be sure your party is complete. They will not seat incomplete parties. We haven't had anything there that we haven't been thrilled with. They have gluten free and vegetarian options available. Their food is on the healthy side using fresh local ingredients. Sorry, no desserts here. But if you have a sweet tooth check out their sister restaurant Woerner Warehouse Café & Catering for the most amazing carrot cake.

Come early, stay late. This is one of our favorite steak places in town. Be sure to make a reservation on the weekend though. They do get busy. If you are looking for something a little more intimate, ask if the wine cellar is available. On the weekends this is also one of the places that stays open late with live music and dancing. If you plan on staying for the live music there is a $10 cover on Saturday nights.

Lunch is great here! If you enjoy a good Bloody Mary this is the place in town to go. Often times on the weekends you'll find live music. Monday and Tuesday nights are half price pizza. Yum!
