City/town information
Our village of Alfombra de Tinamaste is a true gem of Costa Rica. The first thing you will hear locals all over Costa Rica say is that the weather is perfect. It's not hot, it's not cold.... it's literally perfect temperature all year long at an elevation of 2100 ft. This is a small village on rural roads right off of Ruth 243 (1/2 way between the beach town of Dominical and the large city of San Isidro) 30 minutes in either direction.
The view from every area of our home consists of mountains, the valley, the Pacific ocean, incredible nightly sunsets, and the occasional rainbow all while be surrounded by the rainforest and waterfalls.
To explore the hotspots of our area, a week is the necessary minimum...more if you'd like leisure days at our home and weeks if you want to explore some off the beaten path gems... months if you'd like to hit the hotspots, off the beaten path gems, leisure days, and feel like a local.
There are 4 farmers markets throughout the week all within 45 minutes from us (Tinameste 10 minutes) to support the locals, purchase some unique handcrafts, spices, foods, chocolates, coffee, soaps, and more.
What other place on earth literally has Namaste in its name ?!?! This is how you will feel if you gift yourself a stay in our village.
