Tres Palmas Marine Preserve at Steps Beach is the Island's first marine preserve established in 2004 to protect Puerto Rico’s rich marine biodiversity. With some of the healthiest elkhorn corals on the island, the surf that breaks over them makes Steps a great spot for surfing when the waves are on, and fantastic snorkeling spot when waves are more tame. Keep an eye out for sea turtles too!

With some of the healthiest elkhorn corals on the island, the surf that breaks over them makes Steps a great spot for surfing when the waves are on, and fantastic snorkeling spot when waves are more tame. Keep an eye out for sea turtles too!
Excellent dive shop offering scuba and snorkeling rentals, diving classes and whale watching/sunset tours. Owned and operated by Greg Carson, a lively Texan who's been in Rincon for over 20 years.

Great surf spot just past the light house. Nice sandy beach. Water is shallow and bottom is made up of broken rock. Right > left current and waves can get big, so be careful swimming.
