My favorite place to catch sunrise or sunset. It takes about an hour to get there. You can even sit in your car in the parking lot and see the magic! Straight through Gatlinburg, follow up the mountain. You will pass the Newfound Gap parking lot on the left and see the signs for Clingmans Dome on the right. Again... it is a windy hour up the mountain, bring water and snacks. :)
