I just stumbled across this restaurant and had to add it to my list of recommendations. One of the best pizzas that I have ever had. And they have dessert pizzas too with Nutella & fresh strawberries. Absolutely amazing!! It is worth the trip to pick up one of these pies!
If you are in the mood for casual home cooking then Ramsey's is the perfect spot. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. They serve fresh local seasonal vegetables and they have the best pie in town. I would make an effort to go here while you are in town.

Fantastic Saturday Brunch (they are closed on Sunday). Delicious food and the perfect spot for lunch. They have the same menu for lunch as well as dinner but lunch is half the price so take advantage of a great meal and a great deal.

If you are in the mood for going onto the University of Kentucky's campus, Pazzo's has amazing pizza and a great beer selection. They also have service that is slower than molasses in January. So be prepared or get it to go. It typically takes around 30-45 minutes. But their Funky Chicken pizza is so good that it is still one of my favorite places.

I recently learned of this new restaurant and was eager to give it a try. I have been to Hawaii several times and I love Poke. Especially when it is hot and muggy outside. Their Miyako Poke bowl is delicious! Fresh and very filling. I know this will be a favorite spot for me this summer.

This is a cozy restaurant with fantastic food and great portion size. Their Cuban sandwich is one of the best I have ever had and they do such an amazing job with fish. I adore their Grouper fingers and every meal I have had when they feature fish is always perfect. I would definitely recommend this spot for a great meal and a lovely visit to the historic town of Midway, KY. Just a short 15 minute drive from Lexington.

This is the only park in the World dedicated to the Horse. As a horse lover myself I have been many times. You can see many different breeds of horses, go on a trail ride or carriage ride to tour the park. There are often special events and horse shows going on out at the park so be sure to check its website to see what might be going on while you visit. It is easy to navigate and the scenery is iconic within the state of Kentucky.

It is easy to navigate and the scenery is iconic within the state of Kentucky.
Waveland is a gorgeous old plantation estate that was built in the 1850's. They have tea on Tuesdays and special events throughout the year. Tea is fun and includes a tour of the estate. Reservations are required.

I have been several times with different groups of friends and it is the perfect thing to do before dinner. It lasts about an hour and you usually end up working with other people including your friends to find clues and solve the puzzles.
