McDonalds, Quick Trip Gas and convenience store, a new Price Chopper grocery, CVS Pharmacy, Burger King, Arby's, Taco Bell at Pilot Truck Stop, Library, Urgent Care. Visit JESSE JAMES birthplace 2 miles E on HY 92, and his grave in the local cemetery (verified in 1995 by the Discovery Channel). The old downtown has 2 restaurants and antique stores.

The 200 ton Steamboat Arabia sunk just north of KC, MO, in 1856 on the Missouri River. The Hawley family found and excavated the boat, in a nearby corn field due to the river changing course over the years.
This is an AMAZING story and museum! It is all privately funded by the Hawley family, they are usually at the completely modern 2 story museum in the "River Market" area. Don't spend a day in KC without seeing this!!!
It is well worth the admission price. Open 7 days a week.

A 3 story woolen mill used 1860 - 1905, then they just closed the doors and walked away. It is the only place known with original machines of that era. It was powered by a water wheel and later, steam. Guided tours and period actors during temperate months. Must see!!! Picnic, Hike - Bike Trail around the lake.
