If you like wine and 'fröccs' (spritzer) - red, rose or white wine with soda water - this is a perfect place for you. Located in the city centre, very busy mainly in the summer as the drink is mostly consumed during hot summer days as it is light and refreshing. Here you have a good selection of Hungarian and foreign wines. Both Hungarians and Austrians lay claim to the origin of the fröccs, but since soda water, one of its key ingredients, was invented by a Hungarian (Ányos Jedlik) we side with the Hungarian story ;) ★4 MINUTES ON FOOT★

DiVino Wine Bar

The holy grail of Hungarian wines and local wine makers with the best location facing the Basilica and its signature crowd around the fountain in the square. This place never disappoints (unless it's too crowded and you cannot even find a place to stand!) - enjoy a glass of good local wine anytime, grab a tapas and just watch the crowds roll by on Budapest's most popular square. There is another DiVino at Gozsdu courtyard but the atmosphere is unbeatable here.★8 MINUTES ON FOOT★
