Located on the banks of the Derwent it's exceptionally placed to walk by the river to Derby cathedral. With courtyard, Wifi, Smart TVs, kitchen, lounge, one double and one queen sized bedroom, sofa bed and a delightful Jack ‘n’ Jill bathroom, this is a rare find near the old Mills. Dove Cottage is a former Victorian fishing lodge in a unique setting on the banks of the river Dove. It is situated 3/4 mile from the pretty village of Alstonefield and 5 1/2 miles north of the bustling market town of Ashbourne. The cottage overlooks a tranquil stretch of river running through Wolfscote Dale and a historic former water mill. A riverside footpath passes the bottom of the garden leading north along the river to Hartington and south to Dovedale and the Stepping Stones.

A private, self-contained, en-suite annex, next to the River Wye, in a tranquil setting. Direct access to covered decking area & shared garden so you can enjoy the water, wildlife and countryside. Food prep area with fridge, microwave, sink, kettle & toaster. Plenty of walks from the doorstep, cycle routes and climbing opportunities. Perfectly located to explore the Peak District. Car strongly recommended. The annexe is attached to our family home, but has its own entrance.

Located right on the water's edge of Rudyard Lake in a conservation area of the Staffordshire Moorlands, this bespoke boathouse conversion is an ideal romantic break for 2 in a very beautiful, quiet setting surrounded by woodland with perfect views up and down the lake. Although we can accommodate 4 in total, Inglenook boathouse is most suited for couples. The sofa bed is comfortable for up to two children but not suitable for two adults.
