The Old Dairy, cottage on Highland Farm

As the name suggests this cottage was previously used as dairy on the family farm in years gone by. The house was built in the 1850's, the first house on the farm as it is now. The cottage was also known as Grieves House and was home to the Manager of Dalmore Distillery years and years ago. We live on a family farm and there is always somebody nearby for assistance during your stay. Dalmore Farm is in a quiet location on the edge of Alness, a busy town which in 2018 won the title of Best High Street in Scotland. Set on the shore of the Cromarty Firth, this makes an ideal base for exploring Easter Ross and the Northern Highlands. Alness town centre is approx 10 - 15 walk Morrisons and Lidl are approx 5 minute walk

Luxury Highland Haven with Hot Tub by Loch Ness

Enjoying a unique setting with sweeping views down the Glen, Balnacraig Farmhouse is located midway between Loch Ness and the city of Inverness ( 5 Minutes each way). Sitting in an historic highland estate the secured location has fully fenced gardens offering direct access to hill and forest walks up to the Great Glen Way and the wilderness of the highlands and yet is only minutes from the amenities of a major town and nearby transport hubs. It is also a great starting point for the North 500.

Newly refurbished modern contemporary self contained cottage, located a stones throw from Culloden Battlefield. The location offers the best of both worlds, it has many historical attractions located within walking distance such as Culloden Battlefield, Cumberland stone and Clava Cairns, whilst only a short drive from the city centre where you can find Inverness castle, the river ness and a wide range of shops and restaurants. Inverness is a vibrant area perfect for the beginning of the NC500.

Thistle Cottage, CrannachCottages

Thistle Cottage is situated in a secluded, peaceful 4 acre private woodland just outside the picturesque village of Garve on the North 500 Route. An ideal spot to escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life with beautiful walks and cycling routes right on the doorstep. The Victorian cottage, with its own private garden, has been tastefully renovated with all modern amenities to ensure that guests enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay. It is one of 3 holiday cottages at Crannach Cottages.

Old Manse Cottage

A traditional Highland cottage in beautiful natural surroundings. Spacious and bright, features include a huge 17th century fireplace, set alongside modern comforts such as a wood burning stove, open plan kitchen, shower room and king bedroom. Private garden and parking. A fantastic base to discover beautiful Highland walks and landmarks. Fans of Traitors and Outlander are in for a treat! Strathpeffer village with restaurants and shop (1 mile), Inverness (18 miles), North Coast 500 (2 miles).

Foulis Castle Gate Lodge

Foulis Gate Lodge is a Highland cottage on the Gates of an historic, private, Highland estate with its own drive. The secluded location offers direct access to extensive gardens. The nearest amenities are 2miles in Evanton or 5miles to the ancient Burgh of Dingwall. Foulis Castle is a 15 min walk away from the Storehouse Restaurant & Farm shop, which is situated on the shore/beach of the Cromarty Firth (Mon-Sat 9-5pm). My place is good for NC500 travellers, couples, and business travellers.

The Lodge, Nutwood House

The Lodge is the west wing of Nutwood House, a unique property, once the Factor’s House and part of the Earl of Cromartie estate. Situated in a beautiful, peaceful location on the edge of the Victorian Spa village of Strathpeffer, all amenities within 5 minutes walk. Magnificent views across the Peffery Valley. Private garden and many activities to enjoy, forest walks, mountain biking,fishing etc. Nearby places include the renown Rogie Falls.Great location and base to explore the Highlands.

Staves Cottage : Bespoke holiday cottage

Staves Cottage - A newly renovated bespoke space for guests to enjoy all that Moray and the highlands have to offer. Set just minutes away from the beach you can enjoy peaceful walks or venture further afield to explore various attractions. Activities such as Distillery tours, fishing or clay pigeon shooting can be arranged (at additional costs). Self check in is available but hosts are on hand should you require assistance. Highland River Cottage with Hot Tub

A cute and cosy modernised cottage with hot tub surrounded by fields and with a beautiful river at the bottom of the garden. The house is well situated and has a spacious patio and lawn, enclosed garden with access to walks up the river and other beautiful local areas. A good base to strike out for West Coast and Highlands. We recently added a twin room in addition to our double en-suite and king bedrooms. Tore marking the starting point of the North Coast 500. Enjoying these beautiful views in our luxurious hot tub or in front of our woodburning stove. 10min drive from Inverness. Four legged friends are welcome and can enjoy the freedom of a fully enclosed garden. Just the perfect way to relax and unwind.
