I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.

Experience a stay in a traditional Japanese house, tucked inside the forested mountains of the Yoshino Valley. This converted farmhouse is located in Kawakami Village, the source of the Yoshino/Kino river. The house sits just above an idyllic swimming spot, perfect for families to enjoy the cool, clear waters Guests will have the full property to themselves, which includes a handmade cedar bathtub with views across the river. There is also outdoor space to enjoy barbecuing under the stars.

A Satoyama Private Retreat in Nara

A private Satoyama retreat in the mountains of Nara, just 20 minutes from the city. This traditional one-group-per-day house is renovated with reclaimed wood and uses fresh mountain spring water. Enjoy hands-on cooking with organic rice and vegetables from our farm. Relax in a wood-fired bath, and in the morning experience a Japanese tea ceremony surrounded by nature. Dinner options include Japanese meal or pizza making. Our meal service is available for parties of two or more guests.

The surroundings are full of nature, and if you are lucky, you can see animals such as wild deer, boars and squirrels. In addition to burning charcoal in the fireplace and enjoying the burning fire, you can enjoy the following as fireplace dishes. (We prepare 1 box of charcoal. TABITABI MITSU is a fully renovated 100-year-old Kyoto machiya near Rokuharamitsuji Temple. This private entire house offers a calm stay for one group per day. The entrance features historic stone paving once used for Kyoto’s streetcars. The flooring showcases traditional “Naguri” hand-carved textures. Enjoy a serene garden view and relax in the semi-open-air bath with a Shigaraki ceramic tub. Upstairs includes a tatami room and bedroom with refined design details.

Hinoki house: Traditional machiya, walk to sights.

A newly renovated machiya town house with typical layout and a small garden, retaining the tradition of Naramachi - the old merchant town of Nara. Easy access via bus and train, supermarket, restaurants, convenience store, bakery, and a Japanese bath house just minutes away. This house belonged to a famous wood carver of "ittobori" - a traditional Nara technique of carving the wood. A projector and a record player will make your stay even more pleasant. Enjoy!

およそ築100年、大正時代の本格日本家屋のゲストハウスを一棟貸し切りして頂けます。 気兼ねなく、奈良に暮らすようにゆっくりお過ごし頂けます。 奈良公園のすぐ側、近鉄奈良駅まで徒歩約10分。 早朝や夕暮れの静かな時間の散策も容易です。 4名様まで同料金です。最大9名様までご宿泊頂けます。 格子の窓や茶室、縁側、中庭、大正時代に建てられた日本家屋は趣で魅力いっぱいです。 中庭に面した掘り炬燵のあるリビングでゆっくり団欒して下さい。 キッチンは、IHコンロ、電子レンジ、トースター、冷蔵庫、ポット、調理道具などが揃っています。 みんなで料理して、庭を見ながら掘りごたつでお鍋を囲むなど、楽しくお過ごし下さい！ トイレとシャワールームは二か所ずつございます。 ホテルのような設備はございませんが、懐かしい情緒とゆっくりお過ごし頂けると幸いです。 お部屋は寝室だけで合計3部屋（大きい和室を分割すれば4部屋）ございます。 人数に合わせてご用意させて頂きます。 部屋割りなどにご希望がございましたらご連絡下さい。

Our house is traditional Japanese style house. 150 years old and in a very quiet location. We are renting house. Not shared with other guests. There are 2 bedrooms(Tatami-room) and 1 living room, gameroom, bathroom, shower toilet, all of the room are only for you. *Children is free of charge if your children don't need a bed and break fast. There are air conditioners in bedroom and livingroom.
