Hands down my favorite restaurant in SF. The food. The staff. The space. Exceptional. Always. If you can plan in advance, try to get a reservation. Otherwise, arrive at 5pm and you'll be seated at the communal table or the bar. Food service begins at 6pm. Alternatively, show up for a late brunch on Sunday, between 1 and 2:30p. Note they stop selling food at 2:30, but the bar stays open. They also serve food until 1am.

A good walk from the apartment, head up over Baker, take a left on Pacific Ave. then head down the stairs to Palace of Fine Arts and Crissy Field beyond.
