Jonkershuis is a luxurious farmstay on a serene working avocado farm, nestled in the Langeberg mountain range in the Boodmansbos Nature Reserve between Swellendam and Riversdale, right at the Gateway of the Garden Route. It is ideal for family getaways or a romantic experience. It is just a quick, easy drive from Swellendam, the pristine beaches of Witsand, Stilbaai and Jongensfontein and the lush indigenous forests of Grootvadersbosch, opening up endless possibilities for memorable day trips.

Zeekoegat Historical Homestead

Take a step back in time and sleep in a historical monument built in 1795 on this exquisite piece of farm property that has been lovingly restored. We practice regenerative farming and encourage biodiversity. This is a place to relax, reconnect and recharge. It is our happy place where we embrace all forms of wildlife and love our menagerie of domestic pets from pigs to turkeys to horses and lots of dogs. Not for you if you don’t like animals, if you do it’s paradise . WiFi in the garden only.

Cottage in private game reserve, Little Karoo

Off grid cottage set in the heart of the Little Karoo within the Touwsberg Nature and Game Reserve. The reserve is well known for it's biodiverse fauna and flora and stunning scenery. Located off Route 62, midway between Barrydale and Ladismith, accessible with an average car/sedan, that has at least 17cm off ground clearance. The Cottage is well equipped, with indoor fireplace, cosy and completely private - the perfect Winter stay. Note: cell/3G reception requires a 2 minute walk; no wifi.

Sit back and relax with a book or keep an eye on the tide, whether you'd like to go fishing, kite surfing or just to enjoy the great out-doors. The adjacent nature reserve provides numerous foot-path routes through the indigenous Fynbos. From the balcony you may have some early morning sightings of small antelope and other animals as well as an abundance of bird life.

Buff and Fellow Eco Pod 4 (2 sleeper)

Nestled on a beautiful buffalo breeding farm, 10 km from George Airport. Accommodation is offered in a eco-friendly POD nestled on the banks of a farm dam. This 1-bedroom unit accommodate 2 guests. The En-suite bathroom is fitted with a bath and outdoor shower. Each unit has a well-equipped kitchen and an open-plan living area with a fireplace. The units open onto a private patio with a built-in braai area and a wood-fired hot tub.

When we first opened our spot we were truly over the hills and far away... now the village has grown around us a bit, but the place can still feel pretty secluded. The architect-designed house mixes inside/outside space with plenty of room for family.. Explore wetland, river and the Langeberg mountains. With plenty of comforts this spot is paradise for children, dogs and a retreat for adults.
