Estamos numa localização privilegiada, a poucos minutos das praias fluviais do Mosteiro, Rocas e Poço Corga, das Barragens do Cabril e Bouçã, da Serra da Lousã, da Ribeira das Quelhas e de Fragas de S. Simão. Cidades próximas Coimbra, Pombal e Tomar.

The Barragem do Cabril, with an outdoor pizza restaurant (summer) and two well known river beaches are in close proximity. There is a local cafe and mini-market about 300 metres from Chale Pomba.

Dornes possui ainda um belíssimo Santuário e uma Torre Templária pentagonal de que não se conhece mais exemplares no país.
