A tastefully renovated 1 bedroom, fully self -contained Victorian cottage set in 3.5 acres of tranquil, park-like rural land. The property backs onto the Kauaeranga River, a beautiful clean flowing river with an idyllic swimming hole at the end of the property. The majestic Pinnacles walking track is at the end of the road. The cottage is just 5km from the centre of Thames township; everything is nearby, including the popular Hauraki Rail Trail which is a 3.5km cycle from Bakehouse Cottage.

Come relax & unwind & recharge your batteries. We are 1 hour 20 mins from Auckland international Airport. Sorry no late check-out.

Bordeaux Retreat

Cozy 2 bedroom unit in quiet rural location. Just off the expressway for a base or stop over in the country. Close to Hampton Downs, Mercer, Huntly,  45 min to Thames, 40 min to Hamilton.  1 hr to Auckland AIrport. Full kitchen,  lounge/dining, laundry/bathroom, 1 queen bed, 1 single & single in lounge, wifi, small tv. Basic breakfast, milk, tea, coffee milo provided. The TK Tavern has great meals (a fun quiz night), the historic Rangiriri Pub is 5 minutes drive. Non-smoking property.

We are central to the Waikato, minutes from the Waikato Expressway/SH1 - approx. an hours drive to Auckland, west coast surfing/fishing beaches like Raglan, 90 mins to east coast Coromandel's world renowned beautiful beaches, a short drive to Hakarimata bushwalks with 800 year old Kauri, Golf Course, Hot Pools, Huntly Speedway, 20 minutes to Hamilton, Hampton Downs Raceway, and lovely cafe's a short drive.

From the daybed to the loft space or going for a walk on the farm or just sitting in front of the fire you can enjoy the views at this outstanding location.
