It was built in the 1800’s and was originally one of two blacksmiths serving the community of Goathland. The Smithy offers you a comfortable base to visit the local area. There is a private patio which overlooks the sea towards the East Pier. Unlike many cottages to the East Side, there are no steps leading up to the cottage.

Adjacent there is a spacious covered patio area with seating, dining and storage, which looks across to an outdoor patio with fruit trees seating and parking space.
