Welcome to your private studio apartment located along "Country Roads" near Sago, WV on the scenic Buckhannon River. We are just 5 miles from Buckhannon, WV and WV Wesleyan University. Nearby recreational areas include Stonecoal Lake and Stonewall Jackson Lake. This property is our only property listed on airbnb. There is no management company, no outside cleaning company, no cleaning fee. When you contact us through airbnb you are speaking to the owners, not a management company.

By September 2020, there will be a new outdoor living area with a hot tub and dining.

Sweet Country Cabin: Sandstone!

Remote and secluded, Sandstone sits on a hill that was the property’s quarry, where the old-timers split the mountain’s sandstone rocks to make the foundation stones for their cellar and house. Their excavation holes are visible from the cabin. We thought that was so cool, so we carved out a place for Sandstone too! This cabin is on a hill: a peaceful piece of WV heaven that will comfortably accommodate up to 4 memory-making guests! Furry friends welcome with $95 pet fee.

Driftwood Cabin in Almost Heaven, Hacker Valley WV

This two-bedroom cabin sits on the bank of the Holly River. Enjoy the peaceful sound of the river as you relax on the covered front porch. The cabin has an outside fire ring and a beautiful fireplace inside for those chillier days and nights. Driftwood Cabin is 2.25 miles from the entrance of Holly River State Park and 1 mile from Holly River Grocery. We have an abundance of fishing, hunting, hiking, horse trails, four-wheeler trails or simply kick back and read a book.

Relax in the hot tub, hike, bring your ATV’S/UTV’S - ride for miles down local backroads. Plenty of space to park your boat or trailer. Public lands nearby offer fishing, hunting, hiking, kayaking, etc. 20 minutes from the popular Stonewall Resort. (NO WIFI. AT&T & some other providers do have service)
