The Potel Tiny Home 14x40

Tiny home nestled on the edge of the Shawnee National Forest. A cozy one bedroom with full closet and stacked washer and dryer the bed is a full size. Kitchen with stove, fridge and microwave. It does not have a dishwasher. Living room has a smart TV sign in to your Netflix, Sling, YouTube TV etc. Wi-fi provided. No cable. Full bathroom with shower unit. Some of our guest has said sitting on the porch watching the beautiful sunsets each night was an added bonus for staying with us.

Our local area has many hiking opportunities to explore, the Southern Illinois Wine Trail surrounds us, and the back roads have country views that are breathtaking. Our cabin will be waiting for your arrival or return, well equipped with a 55" TV above the gas fireplace, a comfortable King size bed, and an amazing back porch with a Weber Grill and huge hot tub.

We might call this place a hideaway but the nearby activities and amenities are too numerous to list! Enjoy the secluded forest location surrounded by towering trees, abundant wildlife, and plenty of outdoor activities. Our cabin is just minutes away from the Trail of Tears, Dixon Springs State Park, the delicious Chocolate Factory, the towns of Golconda, Metropolis, and the bigger city of Paducah. NEW IN OCTOBER 2021: We have installed high-speed fiber optic WiFi to the cabin.

Spend the day sightseeing at all the Shawnee National Park attractions nearby, such as Garden of the Gods, Fern Clyffe State Park, and many others. The property is just 5 to 7 minutes away from the Sahara Woods Fishing and Hunting area and a brand new ATV park.

Reconnect with nature at this unique escape. This one-bed, mushroom-shaped and mushroom-themed micro-cottage is perfect for one or two people who want to get away from technology and stress. It borders the Shawnee National Forest for easy access to nature’s gifts for all types of outdoor lovers. We welcome your moderate-sized dog to join you as well. The cottage has a full bathroom, small kitchenette, murphy bed/couch combo, and eating area.

Accommodations for indoor storage of motorcycles or a topless jeep are available on the property upon request.

This quaint two bedroom is located in Harrisburg, IL, the Gateway to the Shawnee National Forest. Located within easy driving distance of all the area has to offer, we have a large TV, free wi-fi and everything else you may need for your stay. Due to the nature of the home access, flight of stairs to the front door and secondary access through the basement, we unfortunately are unable to provide handicap access.
