The Depot B & B: A Peaceful Retreat

Just minutes from campus, downtown, and the airport, The Depot is a historic home attached to 5 wooded acres, a lake, and a "big sky" view across the prairie for watching sunsets and night skies. Originally a train depot constructed in 1857, it has been fully modernized for contemporary living. However, we have taken great effort to preserve its rustic charms that Abraham Lincoln would have known during his circuit riding days before the Civil War. These include graffiti from 1917.

Beautiful house very open large square footage with in ground pool. 3 bedrooms on main floor and 1 master bedroom upstairs in the 1200 square foot room with large master bathroom. His and Her closets and sinks. For security of the property and your personal security the home has ADT security system on the outside entrances and the pool area.

Beardstown's original Airbnb location, our home is called the Little White House by the River, and offers a quiet place to stay that is literally a stone's throw (if you've got a decent arm) from the back waters of the Illinois and Sangamon Rivers. DUE TO MAJOR PLANNED RENOVATIONS, THIS LOCATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AFTER SEPTEMBER 30. 2025.
