Woodview is B-listed and sits in peaceful Kinnettles, part of a historic terrace where every cottage keeps its traditional door by law! 5 minutes from Glamis Castle, the Angus Glens are on the doorstep. Dogs are welcome, and as the cottage is all on one level it suits everyone. It has thick stone walls and cosy period charm with a woodburning stove, modern kitchen, fast wifi and beds for 4. Beautiful riverside walk right outside!

Accessed by a spiral staircase your space comprises 2 bedrooms for 4 people over two floors in a private wing of the castle with bathroom and small sitting room. Full breakfast included. Set in the foothills of the Cairngorm National Park, this is an ideal stop off between Inverness and Edinburgh. Balmoral Castle, Dunnottar Castle, Glamis Castle and St Andrews are nearby. Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Created from an indoor swimming pool this modern, edge of town, holiday venue has all you need to enjoy a peaceful stay. Shops and eating places are a short walk away and there are many historic attractions to visit in rural Angus. A twenty minute drive takes you into the Angus glens which boast some of the best walking and climbing destinations in Scotland. Dundee is half-an-hour's drive south and Aberdeen an hour's drive northwards.

Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, the property has recently been refurbished and is light, bright and welcoming.Accessed by two steps,internally the house is all on one level, with a deck leading out from the living room to the front, which faces west giving views of wonderful skies and sunsets. Guests are welcome to use any of the herbs growing in the enclosed rear garden. Although bordered by a road at the rear, any slight noise from the light traffic is muffled by a fence and trees.

Get your walking boots on and explore the surrounding nature with countryside walks from the door step, and the Angus Glens just a short drive away. Dundee (11 miles away) and St Andrews (24 miles away) have many tourist attractions, such as the V&A, along with a range of cafes, shops, restaurants and pubs to choose from.

Surrounded by farmland yet with the pretty town of Forfar and all its amenities close at hand, it is the perfect base from which to explore the stunning Angus countryside. Lochs and glens, hills and waterfalls, fabulous beaches, world-renowned links golf courses and castles are all within easy reach as are the Cairngorms or locations such as St Andrews (30 minutes) and Edinburgh (1.5 hours).

The Great Hall, Dollarbeg Castle

This 2 bedroom apartment is the beautifully converted former Great Hall of Dollarbeg Castle. Built in 1890, Dollarbeg Castle was the last gothic baronial style building of its type ever built. Beautifully restored in 2007 to the very highest standards, it was converted into 10 luxury properties, one of which is a conversion of the original "Great Hall" with its vaulted ceiling and majestic views across the formal grounds towards the Ochil Hills in the distance.
