Hidden in the woods

Quiet, country setting that comfortably accommodates two. This space is above our garage, which is not attached to our house. We have lots of chickens, curious cats and a couple of friendly goats. We are often outside working or playing, but the apartment is very private once you are upstairs!! There is NO WiFi here. There IS a lovely, private balcony with a nice view, lots of movies, and fun games. Verizon service works great here, so if you have a Hotspot you could hook up to our smart TV.

The Amberg House - a Frank Lloyd Wright Original

Staying in a house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright is a bucket list item for fans of America's most acclaimed architect. The Amberg House was completed in 1911 at the pinnacle of Wright's Prairie Style influence. Though every Wright home is special, the Amberg House is a unique collaboration between Wright and Marion Mahony. Mahony worked with Wright from 1896 until 1909. The 15 hand crafted windows allow for great views watching out for Michigan wildlife--White tail deer, turkeys, owls, coyote have all been spotted from the elevated wrap around deck. The biggest regret that guests have noted is “we wish we would have stayed longer”!

The Bear Cave Log Cabin

The Bear Cave log Cabin is secluded with a hiking trail connecting to North Point County Park that leads to the beach. The Van Buren State Park beach/campground access is 0.5 miles away. The Fields General Store is right next door. The Cabin is located 3 miles from the city of South Haven. Relax on the screened porch, around the fire pit, hiking to the beach, or simply inside enjoying the log home.
