Outdoor activity includes hammocks, swimming, boating (canoe, kayaks, john boat). For fishing we have boats, nets & fish-dressing station (bring poles & bait). About 13 miles from Palmyra and Monroe, nearest gas and groceries.

The interior of the cozy home has been remodeled to meet all of your needs while traveling to Quincy. Located near Blessing Hospital and only four blocks from Quincy University's Q-Stadium, The Spruce House offers a beautiful kitchen, two bed rooms with king and queen beds, high-speed Wi-Fi, a spacious yard, off street parking and a wonderful and safe neighborhood. Located in the heart of the country, Oakbrook Akers Cabin is an absolute retreat! Relax on the many porches overlooking the pond, take time to meander to the docks to fish, enjoy s'mores over the stone fire pit or spend the evening at the grilling station in our covered patio. In the winter, tuck yourself away in the cozy cabin complete with a wood burner, having a movie or game night (with popcorn of course)! Built by my father, we hope you cherish your time spent here just as our family has.

Enjoy the cozy atmosphere of country life with barnyard animals, sitting by the outdoor fire pit or taking a stroll down the lane with a circle drive to see wildlife. Just minutes away from Mark Twain Lake, Jellystone, Spalding beach, Mosswood Golf Course, historic Hannibal MO attractions and Perry MO for antiquing. Guests will see deer roaming in the yard early morning and at night. This rental accommodates families traveling with children or the couple seeking a quiet retreat. Stay here while you visit family and friends in the area. It is a short drive to Vandalia, Louisiana, Hannibal or Mark Twain Lake. (40 Min). About one hour from St. Louis.
