Ivywood cottage is medieval in age, but contemporary in design, with luxurious finishes and fine detailing. The house is in a unique rural setting and was once part of the Gawdy Hall Estate. The house sits next to a beautiful 15th century church, set within a 3 acre church yard. Glorious and plentiful Waveney Valley walks in all directions. Guests have complete privacy and run of the house, including a private garden. We respect our guest's privacy, and are on call for any advice or assistance that you may need during your visit. The cottage is a short picturesque drive from the coastal gems of Southwold and Aldeburgh. Harleston and Bungay are quintessential English towns with charming independent stores, delis, family butchers, bistro cafes, pubs, restaurants, and tea shops. It's the countryside, most people drive. Diss is the mainline station between London and Norwich and is just 15 minutes by car. Cycling is very popular and the cottage is on a regular time trial route. Buses are very reliable and the village is well serviced making it easy to hop between Suffolk and Norfolk villages. There is fabulous walking from the cottage. Located in the Waveney Valley paths such as Angles Way which follows the Waveney river valley are right on your doorstep.

Parking /subject to availability/central to all of Southwold's amenities and direct access to Southwold Common. Pet friendly-perfect for walking and exploring! WIFI (not guaranteed in the event of a breakdown). 8 mins walk to beach, 5 mins walk to pubs/shops! Dunwich, Thorpeness, Aldeburgh, Minsmere and 'Africa Alive' nearby.* Downstairs bathroom*

Horseshoes Barn

We're 10 minutes from Southwold, surrounded by countryside with walks right outside. It's perfect for couples, families or friends and dogs! Downstairs is a large open-plan lounge, kitchen/dining area and bathroom. Upstairs has two double bedrooms. It's a great base for visiting Southwold beach, shops, restaurants and pier, then returning to the peace and quiet of Uggeshall. We live in the grounds but are very respectful of privacy and strive to ensure you completely relax during your stay.

Birdhaven is a delightful cottage situated on a quiet lane in the pretty village of Wenhaston, just a few miles from Southwold and the Suffolk Coast & Heaths. This charming self-catering cottage offers cosy accommodation with plenty of natural wonders and attractions nearby. It features lovely views of the surrounding picturesque meadows which offer wonderful sunsets. The cottage has a large garden and driveway offering private parking and the woodburner makes it an ideal cosy winter escape.

The Dairy at Bortons Farm is a self-contained annexe attached to the rear of the farmhouse. 15 minutes drive from Southwold, it offers a peaceful rural location but near to the beautiful beaches of Southwold and the busy market town of Beccles. We have 2 bedrooms, a shower room, two toilets and a fully fitted kitchen plus washing machine. Wifi throughout. Enclosed and secure garden. Our Cottage is pet friendly for one dog, please add this when you make your booking. Due to the authentic nature of the cottage it is not suitable for infants or the infirm with its Suffolk brick flooring.

Despite all this, the cottage is quiet and not overlooked. Absolutely no pets ever - so allergies are safe.
