In reality, the two-story building, erected in 1868, was home to a dry goods store. 152 years later, we have wholly reimagined it, using period details to create a space that is authentic to its beginnings. The Rose Room is done in traditional feminine flair in alignment with the Victorian era. Located in the lower level of the manor this room offers a cozy, quiet feel without compromising any comforts. Governor's Mansion Inn - Rusk Room

Queen room in a historic downtown boutique hotel that was the first official Governor's Mansion of Wisconsin. There were 17 sitting governors that lived here while in office, including Fighting Bob La Follette, the founder of the Progressive Party. Timber Baron Inn Sugarbush Room

Keep cool in the summer and inspired in the winter with our Ski Themed room! The Inn is located on a piece of land that's called the "Sugarbush" because the Native Americans used the land to tap the trees for Maple syrup. Today the majority of the Sugarbush is used by Mt.Ashwabay who maintain beautiful cross country and mountain biking trails. You can even access these trails right from our property!
