Nestled amongst the bluestone buildings of the original 1880’s Police Barracks, the guest house has been recently renovated to a country-style getaway with modern amenities. It is fully self-contained and air-conditioned for your year-round comfort. Murringo Barracks is situated on 20 acres at the edge of Murringo Village. It is part of our 300 acre working farm where we raise fat lambs and merino sheep for fine wool.

Built in 1895, this four room cottage has been lovingly renovated as a private guest wing of a larger property. This cosy cottage is close to everything, making it easy to plan your trip, wander the shops, galleries, the river trails and sites of Yass Valley or Canberra. If you love live music, local wine, whisky or gin, this is a great valley to explore. For fishing, bring your gear or boat for the river, the dam or a nearby lake. Enjoy the opportunity to relax, unwind and explore the surrounding acres, olive grove, lake or take in the mesmerising night sky. The cottage is a true combination of elegant country charms with mod cons. Pets are welcome. We just ask dogs are kept on leash outside as we have livestock.

The Old Stone Shed, Historic Country farm stay

Located 1hr 40min from Canberra, 3.5hrs from Sydney & 10mins from Harden/Murrumburrah this farm stay is a uniquely renovated granite stone shed, built in the 1880s as a stable which takes full advantage of the beautiful surrounding countryside. Our Very Comfortable Granny Flat is at the back of our main limestone fronted house. It is very private, has a enclosed courtyard and is walking distance to restaurants and cafes in Yass town. We are really just over the road from the Yass River and there are plenty of picturesque walking paths along the river. There are also other facilities close by including a dog park, swimming pool children's playground.
