Over 300 acres of privately owned land by the host plus over 700 acres of attached public crown lots accessible through private holdings, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts/nature lovers, as a launch pad into Algonquin Park, or as a quite retreat into the forest. Winter Activities and Uses Include: snowmobiling, ice fishing at a large selection of local lakes, snow shoeing etc.

Ben Nevis House is one of our 3 year round yurts situated in Kearney, ON, in the beautiful Almaguin Highlands. Close to Algonquin Park, Arrowhead Provincial Park and central to many beautiful walking/ATV/Cycle/cross country skiing and Sledding trails. We are situated across from The Magnetawan river- great for fishing, and just 5 minutes from the public beach, boat launch and dock. The Nest is a one room cabin with a screened in porch. There is a queen bed with sheets, queen pillows and comforter. Relax by the river or take out a kayak and paddle upstream to the rapids. After a BBQ dinner, enjoy smores at the large campfire pit. Meander the trails throughout the property and just be. Everything is here for a simple but soul restoring getaway. There is no shower and the toilet is in an outhouse.
