Da Knob on Lake Independence

Enjoy beautiful Lake Independence 25 miles NW of Marquette, MI with a 3-bedroom lake cottage right on the southside of the lake with a sandy beach (217 ft) and dock. Pontoon not included, but there is an open boat slip on our dock (mid-June through mid-October). 2 kayaks & SUPs are included. Some of the best UTV and snowmobiling trails along with backcountry snowmobiling in the U.P. are right in your backdoor. Fish for walleye, perch, pike, and bass on Lake Independence in the summer or winter!

The cottage is located with shared parking next door to a restaurant that we also own; the best wood fired pizza around! Located on the West side of North Manistique Lake aka “Round Lake” in the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Spend the day at the lake or see sites like Tahquamenon Falls, Oswald’s Bear Ranch, Seney Wildlife Refuge and Pictured Rocks.

The River House

The River House is a two bedroom cottage on the Chocolay River in Marquette, Michigan. It is adjacent to a bike path and walkway that runs through Marquette County, along the shore of Lake Superior. This cozy cottage has a deck and sun room with a view of the river, and is close to beaches, marinas, and the beautiful city of Marquette. The River House is a comfortable, peaceful retreat. Out of respect for our neighbors, we cannot accommodate snow mobiles on the property.

Our location is perfect for playing year round!

Completely renovated in 2017 and just up the driveway (past the main house) from the shores of Lake Superior, it's the perfect place for families and those looking to take in all that Upper Michigan has to offer. Just under 10 miles from downtown Marquette is where you will enjoy local breweries, fresh Lake Superior whitefish, shopping and a variety of local cuisine.
