Come and visit our beautiful, restored wagon, high on a peaceful, off-grid hill. For walkers or cyclists, romantic breaks or retreats in nature; this is perfect for adventures or simply relaxing on the deck with a cup of tea heated by hydro power. Cosy all year round with wood burning stove and kitchenette, it has all you need for a relaxing stay. Holistic massage is available in the farmhouse for that added touch of luxury and relaxation, if the peace, quiet and the birdsong is not enough!
Getting away from it all is easier than you may think, in this surprising little carriage perched on a secluded hill. It is a unique space in many ways, but I can describe to you some of our favourites! The carriage is on the land of a working smallholding and community. The farmhouse has several people living and sharing the garden, and we are completely off-grid, with our own fresh water supply, and self-contained small hydro system with solar backup to provide all our electricity. The carriage itself is made from a guards wagon. Before braking could be done remotely from the engine, a guard traveled in this wagon, and would have had to manually brake all of the carriages when necessary. When technology advanced, these wagons were sold off to farmers by the railways, as well-built sheds and cabins. This one was winched to the top of our hill and renovated, and we are very excited to be sharing it! Ideal for retreats, romantic breaks, or for a base on a walking or cycling trip, the carriage is close enough to civilization to be convenient (the market town of Machynlleth is a 15 minute drive away) but also remote enough to really, truly relax. I also have a treatment room in the house, so if you would like to book in for a Holistic Massage as part of your holiday, just let me know and I'll be very happy to see you. The farmhouse who's land the carriage is on, is the only dwelling on this side of the mountain, so if peace is what you are looking for then you have come to the right place. However civilization is close at hand! The charming market town of Machynlleth is a 15 minute drive away, and has a vibrant community and enough shops to get you everything you need. There are plenty of popular attractions, for example the Centre for Alternative Technology for those interested in treading more lightly, the Dyfi bike park for downhill enthusiasts is right next door, or the Dyfi Osprey Project, a breeding site for ospreys. We are nestled in the southern edge of the Snowdonia National Park, so there is plenty of exploring for walkers and cyclists to do- Cadair Idris is one of my favourite mountains and it's only 15 minutes away... We are 1.5 miles from the A487 near Machynlleth, up a forestry track- fairly well maintained but with a smattering of potholes, for the rally driver in us all. Full, easy directions will be sent upon booking! There is space to park, with a short walk (1 minute) up a fairly steep hill with steps, so please consider if you can manage this before booking! I lived up here without a car for 10 years, and it is certainly possible to manage. Trains come regularly to Machynlleth from the Shrewsbury / Birmingham direction, and from Machynlleth there is a good bus service coming to Pantperthog. It is a 25 minute walk (again, uphill!) to get to the carriage from the bus stop. Of course there is always the taxi- from Machynlleth it costs £10. I can provide their details upon booking. We live off-grid! We think this is pretty amazing, and love being self-sufficient in power and water. But it does mean that sometimes, when it's been really dry for ages, or when things go a bit wrong, we may need to be careful with how much power we use. Occasionally it means the peace will be broken by a couple of hours of our noisy old diesel generator charging the batteries if there has been some problem, or us using the chainsaw for a while to cut our (and your!) firewood. It means we'll sometimes have to ask you to use the gas instead of the electric kettle, and to avoid using hairdryers or similar high power luxury items. Apart from these rare events it shouldn't create any inconveniences, just a warm fuzzy feeling that during your stay you are having barely any impact on your environment, and a great example of how the eco lifestyle can work! Good outdoor shoes or wellies, and slippers are also a good idea as I do provide some but your own may be preferable.
There are plenty of popular attractions, for example the Centre for Alternative Technology for those interested in treading more lightly, the Dyfi Bike Park for extreme downhill enthusiasts are our closest neighbours, or the Dyfi Osprey Project, a breeding site for a pair of ospreys.

Spotlessly clean and cozy, en perfekt avkoppling upplevelse!

    Peter2019-04-08T00:00:00Z

Be under no illusion this is like camping under a wooden roof! Not glamping or an hotel. Boatel guests share the boat roofed shed with other guests and residents and no one has exclusivity on this structure. The boat is old and dusty with the occasional spider, an unusual and quirky experience!! The views are stunning. Sorry no dogs but there are two friendly dogs that live here. And cats and ex caged chickens.
Set in an acre of wild flowers and up a mountain in the beautiful Dyfi Valley Biosphere the Boatel is literally a bed in a boat! Not to mention a beautiful open plan cooking and living space – all in a shed AKA the Boat Roofed Shed. Recognised for its amazing and unique qualities, it even won the infamous Cuprinol’s Shed of the Year in 2013. It’s our absolute pride and joy and we love sharing it with our guests! We’ve hosted comedy festivals, exclusive concerts and curious tourists in our little mountain hideaway and Alex (aka DJ Badly) uses it to prepare his sets for festivals such as Glastonbury. We built the shed in 2012 using recycled materials and it was our first major project. Alex is normally a rubbish DIY person, so designing and building the whole thing ourselves was a great achievement and we couldn’t have been happier to win both the ‘Shed of the Year’ Unique Category and the Overall category in 2013. From the shed you can see across Cader Idris (part of the Cambrian Mountains of Snowdonia). It’s so beautiful even in the maddest of weathers, you can close the door, light the candles, pop some kindling in the wood burner and be snug and warm in moments. Our guests all love staying in the Boatel - they love the peace, the location, the structure, the ambience, and the curios (Alex is a big collector and has been on Antiques Roadshow with his Poole Pottery collection!). As well as the relentless throwing of Frisbees for the dogs! We supply all bedding but do not supply towels or breakfast.
We live in the dyfi valley biosphere and we are very committed environmentalists. There are a lot of fantastic Visitor attractions in the area, particularly the Centre of Alternative Technology, Talyllyn Railways and of course Cader Idris – which is part of the Cambrian Mountains of Snowdonia which can be seen from the boat roofed shed!

Our dog friendly Annexe is spotlessly clean and is separated entirely from the main house with its own private entrance. SORRY! BRING OWN LOO ROLLS. After each visit, we spend almost 4 hours deep cleaning, including disinfecting all sufaces and soft furnishings. With magical views, wonderful walking from the door and mountain biking, The Annexe is superbly placed for exploring mountains and coast and touring south Snowdonia. It is ideal for small families, artists and nature lovers.
Our dog friendly Annexe to a traditional Welsh hillside cottage is the perfect place to get away from it all, yet within 15 minutes drive from the seaside town of Barmouth and lovely town of Dolgellau , with their shops and restaurants. (The bus service for both towns is at the foot of the lane). Accessed via its own private drive, the property is set high up above the lane which leads to the Clogau Goldmine in the picturesque Hirgwm Valley, the views are second to none. We are in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park (Website hidden by Airbnb) and your private garden overlooks the Mawddach Estuary with its ever changing swirling waters and sands, and the magnificent Cadair Idris mountain. There is a South facing private patio and the garden is just a step outside. There is easy access from the door to mountain and river trails for walks and mountain biking. Free Parking available on site. Please note that mobile phone coverage here is poor, but we have recently had a WiFi booster fitted and the internet signal in the Annexe is vastly improved. VOIP and other internet calling such as Skype is accessible. (Hidden by Airbnb) so telephone calls are no problem. Please note we no longer have a washing machine but we have installed a dishwasher. PLEASE NOTE The stairs to the sleeping platform are fairly narrow and steep "paddle" stairs. Guests with young children should also note that the sleeping platform has rails and it is advised to sleep children downstairs. There is a double bed in the sleeping space, a double bed setee in the lounge, a simple fold out single futon, a really good camp bed and a lovely new sturdy travelling cot with bassinet which can be placed up or downstairs. It would be helpful to know if you need to use the Futon, camp beds or bedsetee when you book. Please note that as the space is effectively open plan, privacy can be compromised!
The cottage is set in the mythical heartland of Wales where the stories of King Arthur and the tales of the Mabinogion abound, and prehistoric cromlechs and standing stones testify to early settlements, The charming market town of Dolgellau is 3 miles away and the seaside resort of Barmouth with its broad, sandy beaches and small fairground lies 4 miles to the west. Both are well served with supermarkets where you can find all you need. The magnificent medieval castles of Caernarfon, Harlech and Conway are close by, together with several outstanding gardens including Bodnant and Port Meirion. The area boasts six narrow gauge mountain railways with steam locomotives for enjoyable trips. Painters and sculptors exhibit in the area and local crafts include handwoven textiles, slate and wood carving and jewelry. You can listen to Welsh choirs and harp music, and in the summer visit sheepdog trials. The region abounds with rivers, waterfalls and lakes for fishing. You can visit slate and silver mines and ride the exciting 100 kph ziplines slung across slate quarries. There are a variety of nearby restaurants ranging from country mansions in the hills to quaint pubs serving simple food and local craft ales, not to mention a Tapas bar with a chef who hails from Bilbao.

Stay in our beautifully crafted wooden Shepherd’s Hut, set in your own private south facing field next to the river. Surrounded by rolling green hills, this is the perfect eco-getaway, with solar powered electricity and extensive outdoor space. Enjoy the elegant interior furnishings and cosy wood stove, and explore the many walks on offer directly from your doorstep. Ideal for dog owners, hikers, cyclists and nature lovers, or anyone looking to get away from the normal hustle and bustle of life.
The Shepherd's Hut has been lovingly crafted and furnished to provide a uniquely stylish and cosy retreat. Showcasing the natural wood and slate furniture that we make for a living, the space contains cleverly designed table and benches that slide out from under the bed for spacious indoor dining, and lots of hidden storage for your belongings. The Shepherd's hut has been very well insulated and even on the coldest winter days you will be dry and toasty inside with the wood burner and the gas-powered shower. No need to bring wood, we have a healthy pile for you to use. There is a toilet and shower attached to the back of the cabin with spectacular views. Enjoy your breakfast at the table outside and maybe spot the grey heron flying in to catch his food from the river. In the evening you can sit outdoors around a bonfire to gaze at the stars and listen out for the owls, or watch the moon rise over the fields from your comfy bed. Keep your eyes pealed for badgers and otters, and enjoy guaranteed peace and quiet and connection to nature. There is no wi-fi, but there is mobile phone reception. Parking is available close to the Hut, either by our house or a short walk on the other side of the hedge.
The Shepherd’s Hut is located in Abercegir, 5 miles from the market town of Machynlleth, and ideal for walkers and cyclists, or anyone looking to get away from the normal hustle and bustle of life. The cross-Wales Glyndwr’s Way passes close by, and there is easy access to mountain biking trails, hill walking, kayaking, bird watching, climbing, surfing, and popular visitor attractions such as C.A.T. (the Centre for Alternative Technology).

Vackert boende. Allt du behöver för en perfekt vistelse. Kommer definitivt att besöka igen.

A lovely old renovated cottage with inglenook fireplace, wood burning stove and mezzanine. It is well equipped for your stay as I have tried to make it a home from home for you. There will always be some welcome goodies and you can sleep in snuggly beds made with 100% cotton or organic cotton sheets and feather and down duvets. The cottage is situated in the pretty wooded Dulas valley near the historic town of Machynlleth, close to Snowdonia and the sea.
The cottage is south facing and is full of light, even on dull days. We love books and plants so have filled the space with them for you to enjoy. There is a secluded and sheltered garden behind the cottage - a patio with garden furniture and a woodland walk leading to a summer house where you can do a spot of bird watching (binoculars provided) and in the colder months we put out bird feeders. There is a shed where you can keep your bikes if you bring them and a padlock is available if you need it. We hope that guests will be happy and contented in the cottage whatever the weather and season - you are very welcome here
Machynlleth has many independent shops and is a lovely place to spend your time. On Wednesdays there is an historic market on the main street where you can buy many local products. The Dyfi Valley is very special - mountains, the sea, fantastic walks and bike rides to discover. We've lived here for a long time so have lots of information about the area. Jean loves walking and there are maps and guide books in the cottage. The lovely resort of Aberdyfi is a short drive away as is the bird reserve at Ynys hir and the coastal reserve at Ynys las.

Escape to the beautiful Dyfi Valley: walk & cycle in the mountains, relax on sandy beaches, enjoy a pint by the fire in the local pub or lunch in the village cafe. A traditional cottage looking onto river & mountains with all you need for a comfortable break.
The cottage is traditionally furnished with all you will need for a comfortable break including wood burning stove, TV and Freesat and a well equipped kitchen. The bedrooms are cosy and bright with amazing views over the mountains and down to the river. A second floor balcony provides a great viewpoint and an awning on the patio means the garden can be enjoyed in all weathers.
Corris is arguably the friendliest village in Wales and certainly one of the most beautiful. After holidaying here in the summer of 2015, just four months later we had left our lives in Essex to live here that's how much we love it! With stunning walking and cycling routes on your doorstep, the market towns of Machynlleth & Dolgellau nearby, a short drive to white sand beaches and the second most climbed mountain in Wales, Cadair Idris only minutes away, Corris is the perfect base for an adventure or a relaxing break in majestic scenery. There are also plenty of attractions including CAT (Centre for Alternative Technology), Corris Craft Centre, King Arthurs Labyrinth and the village even has its very own steam train!

In the heart of a former Welsh slating village, this beautiful boutique-style cottage is the ideal place to get away from it all. With walks, coast, steam railways and bike trails all to hand, there is something for everyone. Glanydon has two wood burning stoves, an amazing bathroom and a very well equipped kitchen. We can also provide baby equipment (speak to us for info) for those coming with a baby. The cottage is NOT SAFE for a baby who is mobile. Surcharge of £25 if you bring baby.
If you are coming for a special occasion we would be happy to make sure there are flowers/chocolates/bubbly etc etc in the cottage for your arrival, just speak to us re what you'd like.
There is a café/village store just a few metres from Glanydon cottage (Idris Stores) where you will get a great cuppa and more and a warm welcome. There is also a pub (The Slater's Arms) just a few metres on again which does pub grub and Sunday lunches. The views of the mountains are stunning!

Situated on a very steep hillside this house are two slate quarry workers cottages made into one comfortable house. The cottage is from the 19th Century and most of the furniture is period. However, the kitchen and bathrooms are modern.
This is a place to retreat to, away from the hustle and bustle. The single bedrooms are small but the double is very roomy. There is no wifi or internet connection, no telephone or television.
The area was extremely important in the age of slate and there are mementos of that time to be seen everywhere.
  • Vilken fantastisk plats!

Alternatively you can sit on the decking spotting otters and herons while sipping a G & T or relax in the hammock over the river and enjoy the floating sound of the river flowing under you.

It has a conservatory which is used as a dining room with a lovely outlook. The premise is split level. Large private enclosed green area with seating. Located within the Snowdonia National Park close to the stunning Mawddach estuary and Cader Idris mountain range. We have a river running through the farm which can be used for fishing. We have a spacious garden for your dogs and children to play in and a seating area to relax in. We also offer direct access onto the Mawddach trail.
We are in the heart of the National park with stunning woodland and mountain scenery. We are just a 10 minute drive from the sea at Fairbourne which has a sandy beach.

    David2019-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastiskt härligt avkopplande ställe att bo. Mycket rent, snyggt och varmt. Kan inte be om trevligare värdar. Att stanna här är ett definierat måste. Jag kommer att stanna kvar igen.

Newly built and lovingly handcrafted to the highest specification for August 2017, by my husband Andy. Enjoy a wealth of wildlife from your own environmentally friendly luxury off-grid shepherd’s hut, next to a burbling stream. Comfortable and stylish, yet quiet and peaceful. We have another hut too, but both huts are located away from each other, fields apart! We respect that guests come to enjoy the privacy and tranquility of the countryside. We can sleep 4 with the addition of a 2 man tent!
Our hut is completely self-contained, so unlike most huts, you won’t need to venture out into the rain to use the loo at night… everything you need is all under one roof, with a state of the art eco-loo and a hot shower. Environmentally friendly and ‘off grid’ it is powered by solar panels. There is enough energy made to power the lights, and charge your mobile phone and laptop. There is also a cosy wood-burning stove for those chilly nights. There are plenty of activities and attractions to stimulate the adventurous and relax the work-worn. Set amongst acres of farm land and on the Glyndwr’s Way National Trail, ‘Cut Bèch’ is an ideal base for individuals and couples to explore one of the most picturesque parts of Mid-Wales, a haven for walkers, bird-watchers and cyclists. When you return from your adventure, why not sit on the decking outside and enjoy a well-deserved glass of wine, and tea cooked on our new gas BBQ, while watching the little lambs play in the field.
Machynlleth - 5 minute drive away - Charming market town. Train Station and bus service. Shops, pubs, restaurants and an award winning fish and chip shop. The Dyfi Osprey Project, a breeding site for ospreys, and the Centre for Alternative Technology are definitely worth a visit. Aberdyfi is only a 25 minute drive away, where you’ll find a beautiful sandy beach.

This ground floor conversion is a spacious and elegant open plan kitchen/sitting/dining room. Triple glazed at the front, it's beautifully quiet. The generous bedroom at the back has a lovely modern wetroom. Underfloor heating throughout means you will be cosy and warm. The bustling market town of Machynlleth is just up the road, with both the railway station and the bus stop just opposite the house, so you can ditch the car and head out into the amazing countryside. Access is using a keycode.
The kitchen has all you should need - fridge, kettle, microwave, toaster, stove and oven and a large table to enjoy your meals. There is a comfy sofa and soft chair as well as the dining table & chairs. The bedroom has a comfortable double bed. The level-access wetroom leads off this room. In the sitting room, there is a sofabed (this is a small 'double') and we can provide a travel cot should you need it. The whole space is was set up for someone who had disabilities. If you have specific needs, please contact us to discuss before booking. A little glitch would be that if the electricity trips, we will need access to the bedroom - this happens once every year or two. There is parking on the street to the front, or on the small road leading up to the station. There is also an off-road carpark opposite the house which you would need to pay for separately. - Free Wifi - Smart TV with Freeview and you can access your own Netflix etc. - Guest access is with a keycode so you are completely independent.
Machynlleth punches way above its weight with its annual Comedy Festival, Music Festival (mainly 'classical'), and the Dyfi Enduro. It has its own Museum of Modern Art (five separate exhibition spaces), nearby Ynys Hir (RSPB) hosted Springwatch for three years, the Centre For Alternative Technology is just up the road and did I mention the mountain biking? There are local walks or you can start on a longer hike from here. It's an ancient town, home to Owain Glyndŵr’s 1404 parliament and a market that dates back to 1291. There are lovely pubs, some with live music at weekends. There's a good deli and eateries galore including the nearby Michelin star restaurant at Ynys Hir.

Dovey Valley Cottage is a cosy holiday cottage nestled on the bank of the river Dulas near Machynlleth, and within easy reach of Aberdovey, Dolgellau, Barmouth, Tywyn, Aberystwyth, Ynys Hir and Cadar Idris. This self-catering holiday cottage is ideally located for the coast and beaches, golf courses, beautiful walks, the RSPB nature reserve and mountain biking at Machynlleth and Coed-y-Brenin.
My cottage is self catering the nearest shop is 2.5 miles away, a car is useful but there is a bus service at the end of the road and railway station 3 miles away. Restaurants and dining can be found in Machynlleth (3 miles) Aberdovey beach (9 miles) cycling is very popular here as a Sustrans route runs past the door and some of the best mountain biking is 1.5 miles. You’ll love my place because of the views, the cosiness, and the location. My place is good for couples and families with children, however please be aware that there is no barrier to the river at the bottom of the garden so do consider this before booking.
The cottage stands alone on an unlisted road (Sustrans No.8 goes past the door) The original part of the building (home of the owners) was used for housing slate workers in the mid 19th Century who worked up at the quarry which is now the Centre for Alternative Technology. The guests cottage was added in the late 1990's.

The Victorian cottage is cosy, compact and stylishly decorated with colourful vintage touches and a new, sparkling kitchen and bathroom. Walk in through a small room with a dining table and chairs. Make yourself at home in a comfortable arm chair and plan your days out with the local maps provided. There is central heating for instant warmth in every room. To the right is a snug lounge with a sofa and easy chair. If you’re not popping into town to eat out, the large digital TV means you can relax after a day out exploring and log into your Netflix or the i-Player. There’s good WiFi too if you need to stay connected. The cottage is owned by Peter, a retired art and craft teacher, and you will see some of the vintage 70s ceramics he made on the colourful Welsh dresser and around the house. The big Victorian bay window looks over the street to the pretty stone cottages opposite. The modern kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, fridge, full sized oven with electric hob, washing machine and tumble dryer. There’s also a microwave, a cafetière and food mixer. Whether you’re preparing a lazy breakfast, picnic lunch or special meal you’ll find all the cooking utensils you need here. The new bathroom is on the ground floor with a bath and overhead rain shower. A steep and narrow flight of stairs leads to two bedrooms. There are 11 steps and the stairs have a bit of a twist at the bottom. The double bedroom has a bay window looking across the slate rooftops of Dolgellau to the surrounding hills. The double bed has a deep mattress and crisp cotton bed linen. There are upcycled bedside tables and lights on each side of the bed. The second bedroom has one single bed and plenty of storage space. The large window looks across to the Listed stone buildings opposite and fills the room with plenty of light. Guests with children should note that there is a door but no stair gate between the bedrooms and the steep stairs. People with mobility issues may find these stairs between the bedrooms and bathroom challenging. For this reason we do not recommend the cottage for families with very young children or those who find stairs a challenge. Although there is a narrow parking space by the cottage, it is only suitable for one small vehicle. You may find it easier to drop your luggage at the cottage and then park further up the road where there are usually spaces for free on street parking. There’s a stone seat outside the front door to enjoy watching the world go by, but no outdoor space, which is why we regret this cottage is not dog friendly.
Dolgellau is a traditional historic Welsh town and you will find many welcoming independent shops, places to eat and pubs just a couple of minutes walk from the cottage. One of our favourites is TH Roberts, an atmospheric cafe in a former iron mongers which serves the most amazing variety of his me made cakes ever. We also like Dylan’s wine bar and cafe and The Torrent Walk pub is the place to head for pint with the locals or your Sunday roast. The Meirionydd Restaurant serves an excellent Welsh menu and there are plenty of other choice for dining out. Cader Idris mountain range rises behind Dolgellau and you can can take footpaths out of town into the hills. One of highest peak in south Snowdonia, Cader Idris is a beautiful mountain, with both family friendly and more challenging routes to the summit. Dolgellau is an amazing base for walking, whether you are a keen hillwalker or would just like an easy amble in the stunning scenery. The Precipice Walk and The Mawddach Trail are two of the best known local walks, and you will find plenty of information about routes in the cottage. Dolgellau is also fantastic for cycling. You can hire bikes from £20 a day in town to cycle the flat Mawddach Trail to seaside Barmouth and back. You can also hire mountain bikes to explore the famous trails at Coed y Brenin which is just 15 minutes drive. Coed y Brenin forest also has wonderful walks to mighty waterfalls and is becoming known as one of the best trail running centres in the U.K. For runners, Dolgellau also has a friendly and scenic Park Run on Saturdays. Your neared beach is at Fairbourne which is much quieter than its better known neighbour at Barmouth - also much easier to get to during peak season! Fairbourne beach is less than 15 minutes drive from Dolgellau. Every third Sunday of the month (March to December), Dolgellau hosts a Farmer’s Market with good quality local food producers and craft makers. Other local attractions include Portmerion, Harlech Castle, steam trains at Ffestiniog and Talyllyn railways, the zip wires and underground adventures of ZipWorld. Snowdon is a scenic 45 minute drive through Snowdonia National Park.

A beautifully designed cottage nestled into the hillside, with huge windows providing stunning uninterrupted views down to the river and woodlands. The cottage has a large open plan living area that combines a gorgeous handmade kitchen, dining area, and comfortable lounge. Underfloor heated throughout and stylishly decorated, the space is warm, cosy and inviting at all times of the year.
Full of curves and quirky features, the unique design of the cottage includes a lovingly planted living roof of sedum, flowers and herbs that also extends over the timber frame veranda. Huge windows throughout provide a sense of connection to the outdoors, and the large glass sliding doors extend the living area to connect with the outside sheltered veranda. The cottage is situated on our four acre family smallholding, downhill from the family farmhouse. There are also two shepherd's huts on separate parts of the smallholding, as well as our vegetable garden, polytunnel and orchard, with free range chickens and ducks. Each dwelling has its own individual parking area, separate access and private land associated with it.
We are located on the edge of the picturesque rural village of Abercegir, surrounded by trees and hills with fantastic walks on offer directly from the property. And yet Abercegir is less than ten minutes drive from the bustling market town of Machynlleth, with a wide variety of cafés, restaurants, pubs, boutique shops and curios. The local area is a hotspot for mountain and road biking and as keen cyclists ourselves we can give you lots of local tips. The two closest beaches are Aberdyfi and Ynyslas, both around 30mins drive away.

Located within the Snowdonia National Park close to the stunning Mawddach estuary and Cader Idris mountain range. Close by is the Mawddach trail with traffic free access to Barmouth and Fairbourne with their sandy beaches. This is a small one roomed flatlet with one double bed which sleeps 1-2 people. It was converted in the 1970's and retains it's retro touches. The toilet is seperate located in the building opposite and the shower room is next door in the utility room.

Tanyffordd Barn is set in a semi rural location within walking distance of the town of Dolgellau with a good selection of shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and 2 supermarkets. Located within the Snowdonia National Park close to the stunning Mawddach estuary and Cader Idris mountain range. Close by is the Mawddach trail with traffic free access to Barmouth and Fairbourne with the sandy beaches. Cymer Abbey is a short walk away. The cycle tracks of Coed Y Brenin are located just a few miles away.
The apartment is on the ground floor of a 19th Century converted barn. The conversion was undertaken in the 1990's and the furnishings and decor are perhaps a little retro!
Tanyffordd Barn is located off the old Dolgellau Road with stunning views of the Cader Idris mountain range. Set amidst farmland the property is set well back from the A470 which bypasses Dolgellau.
