Overlook the tranquil pond from this welcoming, wooden retreat with patterned Italian tiles and grand cathedral ceilings. The space is cozy with a mix of finishes. A bit of rustic and a bit of classic. Out the back , overlooking the field is a patio space that is accessible for your use, weather permitting. We have snacks and basics for meal preparation. Breakfast stuff such as eggs, muffins, and oatmeal. The kitchen is stocked for guest use. You're welcome to enjoy the pond and picnic area. There are plenty of good restaurants in the surrounding area, from bar food to fine dining. Hiking in the Catskills is abundant, with routes of differing ranges of difficulty. Summer brings festivals, while winter brings snow activities. There's a bus stop in Woodstock if you don't drive and taxi service from there. It's fine if you plan to stay in, but if you want to get around to other places it's best to drive. We have a several flyers and local magazines in the foyer for ideas on where to go and what to see. On the door are the basic guidelines and on the desk is a binder of information on local restaurants, stores, ect... If you need other resources please feel free to ask. It’s within walking distance of many of the sights of the uptown Stockade district of New York’s first capital. Explore the weekend farmers’ market, restaurants, museums, and music venues. The Bau Guesthouse is easily accessible by bus or by car. It is 7min walk from the Kingston Trailways bus stop and 5min drive from I-87 throughway exit 19. Parking on our street is metered Monday - Saturday 9am to 5pm. Also free street parking is available just around corner from us.

Come enjoy our beautiful, comfortable vacation home in a historic building (c 1900) in amazing downtown Saugerties, New York. The spacious and bright studio apartment is located on Main Street literally seconds from fantastic shops, restaurants and galleries. In the summer months enjoy a private patio and shared garden. Double bed is great for a couple and the daybed in the living room is set up to make a comfy kids bed.

The Lafayette Lounge is on the nicest block in the village of Saugerties. This beautiful Victorian home offers a unique studio featuring a kitchenette, king-sized bed, AC, cable and wifi, convertible couch, shared laundry room, and more. There is a large shower but the steam room is not working at this time. There is no smoking allowed in the unit.
