Its remote location, 6 minutes drive above the town of Oregon House, is an ideal spot for a getaway. With the entire apartment to yourself it can be a perfect retreat, a romantic weekend, or a quiet work/study space. A place to relax, meditate, read and feel a world away from everyday concerns. Open the expansive glass doors and enjoy your breakfast basking in the morning sun. Then jump on your bike and ride from the house to the Harmony Ridge Trail network. If hiking is more your thing, it’s a half mile walk/drive to the Snow Mountain Ditch which connects to miles beautiful trails.

Stay in our artist suite in the Sierra foothills. The space features a two-room guest suite, a full bathroom, kitchenette, and a patio open to an oak meadow. The bedroom has a comfortable queen-size memory foam bed and a view of the waterfall and garden. Come to enjoy the calm tranquility of the countryside and listen to the waterfall and palm trees rustling. You are sure to have a restful night after a day of adventures! Level 2 EV charging is available upon request for an additional fee.

Starting from two cargo containers, this home was built to be a seamless space to enjoy the outdoors without sacrificing any luxuries while you play. Designed to be an off-grid, sustainable home, this house features a movable glass wall, which opens the living room into the outdoors facing the setting sun. Beautiful native landscaping surrounds a basketball court and covered dining area. Indoors, natural light and a playful spark runs throughout with a second story hammock to enjoy it all!

Gold City Getaway: Sunrise Suite

Welcome to Gold City Getaway at Moonflower Manor! This charming, cozy, unique apartment is located in the heart of downtown Nevada City in a historical Victorian dating back to 1880. Just steps from the shopping, dining, coffee, art, live music and entertainment, and in-town hiking that Nevada City has to offer. Living room with dedicated work space, full kitchen, one bedroom, small bathroom with a clawfoot tub and shower. No off-street parking. Free and metered street parking available.

Sugarloaf Madrone Studio is tucked into the slope of Sugarloaf Mountain, overlooking the 7 Hills of Nevada City. It is a 3 minute drive or 20 minute walk to downtown restaurants, arts, and nightlife. Despite its proximity, you will feel like you are in the country with pastoral views, local parks, and a quiet neighborhood. You will share the house with a totally separate apartment on the ground level. The Madrone Studio is great for rest, relaxation, and being close to nature.

High ceilings, french doors, a full kitchen, plush furnishings, wood burning stove and gas barbecue are part of the 650 sq ft of spaciousness. With a hot tub on the deck. Just ten minutes from historic Nevada City. The stargazing and tranquility are amazing. 100% privacy on property and at the creek. This studio cabin is perfect for couples or a solo retreat.

Historical Victorian Cottage

New deck: more shade, more privacy. My guests do not do chores. We do appreciate guests who are tidy and keep the house clean. Our home is in walking distance to downtown, hiking trails, and other activities; yet quiet for restful evenings. The large deck for morning coffee or an evening beverage. Off street parking onsite. As of January 1, 2026 I will be closing my house for short term rental. The city's short term rental policies have changed.
