This beautiful craftsman style house is over 110 years old and still has all the original woodwork making it cozy and inviting. It is also tastefully decorated with art and antique furniture giving it a very unique and boutique feel. Because the house is perfectly situated between downtown and Washington Park it is ideal for those doing business in the city center or tourists visiting the historic sites. My goal is to offer a comfortable , unique, and satisfying experience for all my guests.

This historic home has the charm of the old house with the new Modern style set up. It is 3 mins drive from downtown Springfield. Within 5 mins drive to the medical district and the historical sites. This basement unit offers a full-sized memory foam mattress with a private bathroom. 55” TV. A dedicated work space, a romantic dining area. It has microwave, coffee machine,toaster and portable stove,front-load Samsung washer & dryer. (Washer & dryer are shared with main floor unit guests!)

The Market Street House was built in 1860 by Lambert Merklin and his wife. Lamberts was a German baker and confectioner who operated a bakery just a few blocks away from here on Fifth Street. This 2-bedroom home has all the original charm with the convenience of modern amenities and an ideal downtown location. The Market Street House is within walking distance to the State Capitol Building and Lincoln sites. A stylish and comfortable experience at this centrally-located home.
