Located in the foothills of the Olympics, Shippen's Cabin offers the comforts of home in a wilderness retreat. The cabin is an ideal location to base your hiking adventure, or simply come to enjoy some time away from the city while exploring the area's many attractions. Relax after a long day on the trail with a hot sauna or a meal on the deck and enjoy the wilderness setting, often visited by local wildlife. High speed WiFi is available for those that need to stay connected during their stay.

Historic Discovery Bay Beach Cabin Stunning Views

Experience healing and peace with the sound of gentle waves on Discovery Bay. Our cabin was built in 1939 by our grandfather who was an early businessman in Port Townsend. He wisely recognized for decades to come this would be a prized place of rest, enjoyed by 5 generations. Our two kayaks for beginners and new paddle board are available for rent. Explore the unbelievable beauty of the Olympic National Park just a few miles away featuring hiking to rainforests, glaciers, and mountain lakes.

Everyone is welcome to a very private and magical place in the riparian forest, only a 5 minute walk to the Dungeness River and less than 5 minute drive to downtown Sequim, Wa. Our most recent visitors tell us that we are a stand alone destination. A respite to relax and reboot . Our one bedroom cabin with a fully equipped kitchen offers a chance to enjoy a private and uninterrupted access to the Olympic rain forest, while affording you easy walking or biking to the small village of Sequim.

An authentic Pan Abode log home, the “Pray for Salmon Cabin” is located on the Olympic Peninsula along the Dungeness River with acres of natural forest to explore and find solitude within. The Perch! Just added a dry sauna! 50 shades of green. Perched upon a three way precipice this unique stay is privately located, secluded in the woods vibes, close to Olympic National Park yet in town center. Our 1300 sqft. A-frame style feels as if you are in a tree house with ground level no-step entry. On 2 private acres with a sauna, hot tub, and small pond, hugged by trees in every direction, come snuggle in and listen to the trickling stream. Grab a drink and enjoy your stay.

Welcome, Hikers! Our 30 acre property adjoins the verdant lowland forest of Olympic National Park. From the shared lower deck, sit and enjoy your coffee or wine and look right down the Elwha Valley to the majestic Olympic Mountains with a view of the Elwha River and Mt. Carrie glacier. The Hiker's Cabin serves as an ideal base for daily excursions to explore Olympic National Park and local beaches. Walk directly from the Hiker’s Cabin onto trails leading into the park!
