A group supporting the famous (and extremely long) Madeira Terrace is currently raising funds to restore the ironwork and famous promenade. The whole terrace has taken on a post-apocalyptic feel where the pretty regency style clashes with modern graffiti and concrete.

When open, the Madeira Lift links Marine Drive directly with the beach. When you take the ride down, you end up in the famous Concorde nightclub.
