The central Market of Cascais "Mercado da Vila". The best place for fresh produce, fish, meat, sausages, bread, vegetables, flowers, etc. Open all days from 8am to 2pm. But the full, picturesque version, full of traders selling their wares, only takes placo on Wednesday morning. Its also a very nice hub for restaurants inside. "Marisco na Praça" for seafood. "Rubro" for meat. "Guli Mercado" nice Italian.

The Mercado da Vila is the traditional covered market of Cascais. Inside is a range of stalls selling freshly caught fish, fresh vegetables and fruits, local produce and classical handicrafts. As with all Portuguese markets visit early in the day as it is all finished by 2 pm. While at the market don’t miss the detailed Azulejos tile paintings on the rear of the building which details the heritage of Cascais.
