And finally, one local tip in hidden Istria :) If you would like to make a nice break before arriving to Rovinj, provided that you enter Croatia already in the morning, I would recommend to visit Groznjan and Motovun prior to heading to Rovinj, a stherese are only 15 -20 minutes after the borderline, always in direction of Rovinj. Groznjan especially, it is a hidden gem ( a small hilltop town overlooking Istrian coutryside, a town from a fairytale, well -known as a small, hidden art mecca of Istria thanks to its numerous galleries). Immediately after Croatian border, and perfect spot to have a short stroll, morning coffee, a snack.. enjoying the peace and calm, and the views! Feel free to check it out, I am sure you will love it and it will save you another day trip from Rovinj. It is also a perfect day out for the guests that want to make a nice day out in the northern Istria when staying in Rovinj. Groznjan, when in Istria, is a must!
