Nakanoshima Park A waterfront park nestled between Dojimagawa and Tosaborigawa rivers. With its rose garden featuring about 4,000 rose bushes and about different 100 rose species, this park has been selected one of the 100 most scenic greenery spots in Osaka in recognition of its beautiful scenery against a background of classical neighboring buildings.

It was the first park in Osaka city that was born in 1891. An oasis of green city full of greenery of about 1.5 km, area of 10.6 ha sandwiched between the Dojima River and Tosa digging river, the flow of the river and heavy buildings such as the Central Public Hall and the Nakanoshima Library are shining green and beautiful scenery I am showing you.

ヨーロッパを思わせる建築物を眺めながら、ぶらぶら公園の散策をするのも楽しいもの。最近では、"ライオン橋"の名で親しまれている「難波橋」手前の北浜駅側の川岸が「北浜テラス」として整備され、川辺の眺めを楽しめるカフェやレストランなども増えています。 大阪を代表する近代西洋建築、「中央公会堂」は、青銅のドーム型の屋根と赤レンガの壁が美しい、ネオ・ルネッサンス様式で国の重要文化財です。市民の岩本栄之助氏が大阪市に寄贈したもので、現在はコンサートやイベントなどにホールとして貸し出されています。
