A great beach, easy access to ice cream shops and town, park for kids and golden sand.
beautiful Village of Aberdyfi. This is a sea fishing village with much history and beauty. plenty of sand and shops. Great icecream parlour and lots of eateries to choose from. local food especially fish. carnivals and entertainment certain times of the year.
Mid Wales has miles of beautiful coast line but the town of Aberdyfi (Aberdovey) is a beautiful backdrop to its impressive beach. We love Aberdyfi; it has an excellent fish and chip shop, Walkes and spectacular views over the Dyfi estuary to Ynys Las. The drive out to the coast alone make this trip worth while.
Just a couple of minutes over 1 hours travelling time, but my favourite seaside place to visit, with a long sandy beach stretching all the way to Tywyn, so I hope you don’t mind including here. If you like ice-cream I highly recommend the shop which is painted pink in the middle of the village opposite the harbour. Where to eat: Plenty of places to eat, my favourite cafe is Medinas. For something posh try the Trefeddian Hotel, just outside of the town.
