11 MILE ROAD RIDE Ride from the Airbnb to Downtown and back. Enjoy some serious hills as you make your way through West Asheville to downtown. Stop for coffee or donuts before you head home. Use The Orange Peel for the GPS turn-around point. DO NOT RIDE on Patton Ave. 1. Take Sulpher Springs Rd out to Haywood Road. 2. Take a Right onto Haywood Rd. 3. After about 2 miles, take a left on Clingman Road. 4. Ride straight through the round-about and up the hill. 5. Take a right onto Hillard Rd. 6. The Orange Peel is at the top of the hill. 7. Explore downtown. 8. Reverse for the ride home, or use GPS to ride along the river via Riverside Ave to Hominy Park and then up a huge hill back the home.

Asheville has a VERY lively music scene with multiple venues---The Orange Peel is a definite favorite among locals. Spring-Fall is festival season, and there are festivals with tons of music, food, art & entertainment, many for free. The LEAF festival (held every spring & fall in Black Mountain and in the summer in downtown Asheville) is not-to-be-missed if you happen to be visiting at that time!
