Tommy Thompson Park is located on the Leslie Street Spit, a man made peninsula that extends for about 5 km out into Lake Ontario providing a quiet place to walk and explore and offering some excellent views of the Toronto skyline. A walk on the spit will provide you with lots of opportunities to capture great photographs of the resident wildlife. The trial is wide, great for beginner bikers or casual walking, running or cycling. Finish the trial by visiting the red lighthouse at the end, or stop to throw rocks into the lake or take in views of the city. Keep it simple, rent the bikes at the bottom of the trail.

A unique place near downtown Toronto to experience nature, and one of the best places for bird-watching in the city, with more than 300 recorded species. Use the menu below to find details on visiting the park, trails, events, festival, programs, restoration, and research. Great to visit while bicycling!
