The beach. This spot is hopping but if you want a little more seclusion and don't mind a little walk, park at the airport (if you pass the beachhouse you'll see it after a minute or so), head into the woods, and take one of the trails that heads left to the lakeside beach!

we have a 7 mile stretch of beach with many public access points. It is a great place to have a picnic. we like to stop at northern waters smokehouse and grab sandwiches that we ordered online already to avoid the line. At the very end of the island there is a hiking trail, beautiful beach access, & in certain seasons they offer float plane rides/tours.
