Barra de Maxaranguape is a bigger, but still small place, close to praia de Caraúbas. Here you will find more movement, more stores to buy food ro fish or bread or a swin suit and there are some bars and hang around places, especially by the beach. There is also a nice mangue in the Rio Maxaranguape where you can take as wim right next to the beach that is also perfect for surfing (like many beaches in the area). Barra has a nice church to have a look at and typical Brazilian town-feeling.
